| A Challenge for myself |

Ok, I keep procrastinating from my uni work, so I have decided to make it a little more productive than just wander the internet, not looking at anything in particular. My challenge to myself is to write 500 words per day on a story of my choice, and to post it here for people to read. I will keep posting even if no-one comments on my posts, but comments are always welcome, both the 'more more more' kind and constructive criticism. These story snippets will be posted over at ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) allastales.Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with it. If I don't, bug me :p
There may be some overlap of stories, as I notice that I also have parts of two different drafts of Benaedin's Promise sitting on there already. Bear with me when this happens - or tell me if you preferred one version over the other or something :).

doji_arekyushu and I have just conqured two mountain ranges and national parks. We're currently very sore, but the views that we got (once we got above the tree line) were well worth it. All I hope is that I don't have to carry my pack any further than a few hundred metres over the next couple of days. Holiday is going well, though. We are both slightly sunburnt at the moment, but *shrug*. I've taken soooo many photos :) More than I thought that I would take.

Am in Queenstown (yayayayyayayay). Having fun. Everything is very pretty. Many photos, but no time to upload/show any now, as I must go and rest sore feet. Heading to te anau tomorrow (eeearly), and then off to the Routeburn Track the day after that. Will try and write better post tomorrow.
Sorry for disjointed sentences. I seem to be thinking in bullet points at the moment.(I blame crazy lightness - sun setting at 9pm isn't right...)

Ok, I have just finished watching this, and I have two things to ask. 1) WTF?! 2) Did the guy who wrote the script even bother to read the books before he wrote it? He probably could have got by with just reading the poem that describes the whole plot and been more faithful to the story! |

Phone interview this morning... nerve wracking, but I got the impression that its all good. Wasn't 'you have the job', but it was kinda implied... fingers crossed - this also means that aside from a couple trips to adelaide for inductions and a presentation at the end I'll be in brisbane!
